About Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT)

Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT) was founded in May 1948 to provide technical skills.
The main campus is Located on Commercial Street in Nairobi Industrial area. The other campuses are Kisii Campus and Ngong Campus.
Those who wish to apply for courses at KIHBT should meet the following minimum entry requirements.
1. Higher Diploma:
- KNEC: KNEC Diploma or Technician Part III certificate in the
respective disciplines.
- Technical University of Mombasa (TUM): Diploma or Technician Part III certificate in the respective disciplines.
2. Diploma Module I: C- (KCSE) with credit passes in English, Maths &
Science.
- Diploma Module II: Pass in Module I (Commencing 5th May 2015).
- Diploma (TEP): C- (KCSE) or Div. II (KCE) with C- or credit passes in English, Maths, Physics/Physical Science.
3. Certificate: KCSE D with passes in English/Swahili, Science & Maths.
