Meat production is part of meat science,a discipline that studies biological and processing factors that influence meat quality.The discipline concentrates on the new technologies that are involved in meat production.Some of the units covered in this program are:(i)Meat technology(ii)Animal production systems and products(iii)Beef,sheep and poultry productionThis program prepares students to secure employment in research organizations,and also seek further studies in reputable institutions.Students are required to have scored a minimum of C+ in KCSE with C+ in English,agriculture and biology.
