INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES.
_ This paper contains TWO alternatives A and B. Each alternative has two questions. Choose
only ONE question from any ONE alternative. In alternative A choose either a drawing or a
painting question.
_ This question paper will be given to you one hour before the start of the examination to enable
you to make your choice from the alternatives.
_ Using this one hour you are allowed to make sketches on the paper provided.
_ The use of rulers and other mechanical means is forbidden in alternative A but is allowed in
alternative B.
_ Clearly write your name, index number, the alternative and number of question in the spaces
provided.
Answer only ONE question chosen from either alternative A or B
ALTERNATIVE A: DRAWING OR PAINTING.

1. Make a sketch from memory and draw a BICYCLE OR MOTOR VEHICLE garage.
OR
PAINTING
2. Sketch and paint “ASSORTED” fruits in the basket or plate or table.
ALTERNATIVE B: GRAPHICS.
The use of rulers and other mechanical devices / tracing papers is allowed .The colour of the
working surface is not counted.
EITHER
3. In three colours design a poster for the “YOUTH CAMP” to be held on 1st AUGUST 2010 at
ILALA stadium. Include some illustrations and use size A3 paper.
OR
4. In two colour design a CERTIFICATE FOR SPORTS for “LOWER WESTERN REGION”
Use two TYPEFACES plus illustrations on paper A3.
