1. Precisely explain each of the following:
(a) Atonement
(b) Docetism
(c) Gnosticism
(d) Progressive creationism
(e) Original sin (5 marks)

2. (a) Briefly explain the content of “Pelagius” and “Augustine’s” view on the extend of the first
sin upon humanity. (6 marks)
(b) What is your own view on the extent of the first sin? Give two reasons and scriptural
references for your answer. (5 marks)
(c) As a clergy, what two steps would you take to ensure that your members understand
remedy for such sin? (4 marks)

3. (a) Mention, and explain each of the three views advanced in an attempt to explain the
“Image of God” according to Genesis 1:26. (9 marks)
(b) Which of the three views do you consider biblical and why? Give scriptural references for
your answer. (6 marks)
(c) Mention, and explain how you would respond to each of the five theories advanced
regarding the origin of humanity. (10 marks)

4. (a) Outline each of the five theories of Atonement (20 marks)
(b) Which of the above theories do you support and why? Give scriptural references for your
answer. (5 marks)

5. (a) Mention and explain each of the three offices Christ fulfilled. (9 marks)
(b) In which ways do Christian ministers today fulfill each of the mentioned offices. Give
scriptural references for your answer. (6 marks)
(c) Mention and explain three evidences which affirm that Christ indeed rose from the dead.
(6 marks)
(d) In what to ways does humanity benefit from the death and resurrection of Christ?
