INSTRUCTIONS
Answer THREE questions only.
1.
Give an account of the relationship between HIV and AIDS and Sexually
transmitted infections STIs.
2.
Giving examples identify and discuss five factors that predispose the youth to
HIV and AIDS.
3.
Women and men of all ages are at risk of contracting HIV, but women’s risk is
higher than that of men. Discuss this statement in relation to social and cultural
factors that put women more at risk.

“Community participation is key to management of HIV and AIDS”

Explain why this is the case in Kenya
(b)
Discuss the necessary skills and resources necessary for successful
community participation in HIV/AIDS management.

Referring to one commonly abused substance/drug,

Describe the effect of Drug/Substance Abuse on the individual and
community.

Discuss the relationship between drug/substance abuse and HIV and
AIDS. Use illustrative examples in your answer.
