baseline. This information is captured in documentation. Network documentation include 3
components: Network configuration table, End-system configuration table and Network topology
diagram. Discuss briefly the contents of each of these three documents. [9 Marks]
b) There are three main methods for troubleshooting: Bottom-Up, Top-Down and Divide-and-
Conquer troubleshooting methods. Explain briefly how each of these methods work, outlining
where each is applicable. [6 Marks]
c) The KCAU LAN consists of one large flat network. You decide to segment this LAN into two
separate networks with a router. What will be the effect of this change? [5 Marks]
