(a) Using relevant examples of each, differentiate between oral and written communication. [6 marks]


(b) Explain the role of the receiver in the communication process.

(c) Briefly describe the following as applied to communication:

(i) Diagonal pattern. [4 marks]
(ii) Interpersonal communication. [5 marks]
(iii) Study reading. [5 marks]
(iv) Courtesy. [5 marks]

Discuss any three positive and two negative effects of technology on communication. [15 marks]



QUESTION FOUR (15 MARKS)

(a) Without a feedback, the process of communication is incomeplete. Explain the importance of the feedback in completing the communication process. [10 marks]


(b) People can communicate even more accurately without using words. Giving relevant examples, identify at least five messages that one can pass by using the face or eyes. [5 marks]



QUESTION FIVE (15 MARKS)

As the secretary of students’ welfare committee of your university, write the minutes of the meeting the commeettee held recently to discuss at least four issues affecting students and the resolutions made.
