Question One
Briefly describe how the choice of different livestock mixes may be the solution to the perennial droughts in ASAL regions of Africa. (10mks)
Question Two
Describe a dual purpose goat specially suited for ASALS of Kenya. (5mks)
Describe an exotic breed of goat used in Kenya for the purpose of milk production.

Question Three
Briefly examine the terms sustainable livestock production. (10mks)
SECTION B
Question Four
Global warming is limited to the frequent drought in the semi arid parts of the world. In view of this phenomena discuss the viability of livestock production in the arid and semi arid region of Kenya. (15mks)
Question Five
Discuss a sustainable poultry production and pork production system. (15mks)
Question Six
Describe the different property ownership regime or land tenure systems as they relate to livestock production. Discuss the pros and cons of changing the communal ownership to private ownership in arid regions of Africa and compare with the change of land ownership in England in 16th and 18th country.
