Give three reasons with appropriate examples why picture framing is crucial in composition.

Explain what the point of view (POV) is and give three different POVs as you briefly point out their purpose.

Identify and briefly discuss three guidelines for better photographic composition.

Cinematography (how it is filmed) can be contrasted to mise-en-scene (what is filmed). Discuss this statement giving at least three clear examples. (20 marks)

Discuss three-point-lighting and the role each of the three lights play in illuminating a subject. (Clear illustrations will earn you credit). (20 Marks)

’Nairobi Half Life’ is the most successful locally produced movie so far. Discuss the elements that in your view have made the movie appreciated by audiences both locally and globally. (20 marks)

Digital technology has impacted the film industry both positively and negatively. Discuss this statement in relation to both the production and distribution of films in the 21st century. (20 marks)

Question Six
A movie soundtrack requires as much care in design and execution as the cinematography. Discuss the elements in a soundtrack as you explain why care must be taken to enhance their effective use in the story. (20 Marks)
