Question One
Film directors have a choice of shooting their productions using either a single camera or a multiple-camera approach.
Clearly explain the differences between these two approaches.

Identify five advantages that the single camera has over the multiple-camera approach.
(10 marks)
Identify at least three types of programmes that are normally shot using the one-cameral approach and at least two types of programmes that use the multi-camera approach, as you give clear reasons why the option is taken.

Question Two
While scripting short movies, we are advised to rely more on a character driven style rather than a plot driven style. Explain the difference between these two techniques clearly as you give vivid examples. (20 marks)
Question Three
Discuss the challenges of projecting a three dimensional world onto a two dimensional screen in cinema. What techniques do film producers employ to try to overcome this challenge? (20 marks)
Question Four
The Kenyan film industry has not grown as fast as that of Nigeria or South Africa. What in your views are the reasons and how would you advise that these challenges are resolved? (20 marks)
Question Five
What are the impacts of technological convergence on the film industry as a whole and how could they be used to market Kenyan films? (20 marks)
