Question One

SUNYO is a new health drink that your company plans to launch into the soft drinks market in the near future. The drink is made from pure malt and is recommended for people of all ages. The commercial director of your company has instructed you to arrange for its promotion by writing a TV advertisement lasting 45seconds.

Write down the words to be voiced out in the advertisement.

Indicate the camera shots promoting the soft drink being enjoyed by a mixed audience of old and young; male and female.

Question Two

Write a news script of FIVE items covering the following events:

The SabaSaba rally held yesterday
The new program to support persons with Albinism in Kenya
President Kenyatta`s trip to Uganda
The crime rate goes up in Nairobi Eastlands
The matatu industry order pressure to reform.

The news bulletin should not be longer than 3 minutes. (20marks)

Question Three
A script is as good as the producer, the technical operator and recording equipment. What is the role of the scriptwriter, the producer, the technical operator and the studio quality? (20marks)

Question Four

The poem below records the tragedy of Tom Mboya who was assassinated in Nairobi in 1969. Read the poem and write the story in prose, discussing the mood, the environment and the public stature of Tom Mboya.
