Question 1

Many countries have an elaborate legal and registration framework for health care delivery. Describe any five public health related acts of parliament in Kenya that deal with matters pertaining to regulatory of health service delivery. (25marks)


Question 2

You are the new director of Kenyatta Natinal teaching and referral hospital based in Nairobi, Kenya. A patient who is high ranking in the government is admitted with a terminal illness. You are one of the members of the team involved in reviewing the patient. Discuss the benefits and dangers that needs to be put into consideration in telling the truth on the diagnosis and prognosis to this patient. (25marks)

You have been appointed to a hospital medical ethics committee and charged with the responsibility of coming up with a guidance on capacity of the patient to consent.
