a) Abortion
b) Euthanasia
c) Civil disobedience
d) Capital punishment

3. Explain briefly the basic arguments postulated by the proponents of the following
Christian Ethics systems:
a) Unqualified Absolutism (3 marks)
b) Conflicting Absolutism (3 marks)
c) Graded absolutism (3 marks)

4. Discuss briefly at least five distinguishing characteristics of Christian Ethics.

a) Use at least four biblical passages to illustrate the truth in the above statement.

b) Explain what we expect a Christian to do when he/she is involved in a situation in
which moral absolutes conflict. (3 marks)
6. Use a minimum of four illustrations from the bible to explain Charles Hodge’s concept of
“justifiable deception.” (15 marks)

7. Many Evangelicals are against hierarchy of Sins and virtues. They operate under the
myth that “all sins and virtues are equal.” Write a brief essay which gives guidance to
Evangelicals on the above stated issue. (15 marks)
