SECTION A: (COMPULSORY) - (40 MKS)
1. What do you understand by the following categories of communication?

2. Describe an issue in Kabarak University that will require the diagonal route of communication
to solve it. (5 marks)
3. What is the essence in listening comprehensively to a particular communication
transaction? (4 marks)
4. Explain the concept of active mindfulness as it applies both to the speaker of the message
and the audience. (6 marks)
5. (i) Identify and explain any three types of library catalogues. (6 marks)
(ii) Why is it important for students to devise their own private study timetables? (5 marks)
(iii) Use examples to explain how students can incorporate the three types of time in their
studies. (10 marks)
