SECTION A (COMPLUSORY- 40MARKS)

c) Identify and explain any three criteria that you need to use in order to select a researchable
topic. (6marks)

2. Distinguish the following types of research:
a) Basic research and applied research (4marks)
b) Survey research and historical research (4marks)

3. a) Explain the differences between qualitative and quantitative forms of research.

b) Explain two major purposes that a research proposal serves. (4marks)
