2. Chebet, a Christian student at Moi High School Kabarak has approached you with an aim of
understanding the origin of the many world religions existing today. As a specialist who has
studied the subject, explain to her the theories that have been advanced on the subject including
the Christian teaching on the same. What it your own view regarding the origin of religion.

3. Vividly explain the main teachings in “Budhism.” In what ways do such teachings differ from
those of the Christian faith? In your own view, which of the two religions represent authentic
way through which the true knowledge of God is accessed? Give two reasons for your answer.

4. (a) Compare and contrast the origins of Islam with that of the Christian faith. (10 mks)
(b) How do the teachings on salvation in Islam differ from those of the Christian faith? (10mks)
c) Which of the teachings do you consider to represent authentic ways through which humanity
is reconciled to God? Give three reasons for your answer. (5 mks)
5. Outline and evaluate the main teachings in “Hinduism” and “Judaism.” As a Christian, how
would you advise the adherents of the religion on how to access the true knowledge of God?
