SECTION A
1. “Islam doesn’t have five pillars as Christians commonly misunderstand. Ramadhan is the only
pillar there is in Islam.” An Atheist claimed. Respond to the challenge [12 marks]
2. Identify and explain the four “Noble truths” in Buddhism. [12 marks]
3. “Hinduism has no connection with Sikhism.” A Hindu claimed. Respond to the claim.
[12marks]
4. “Following strictly a vegetarian life is the only teaching of Sikhism religion.” Correct the
distortion. [12 marks]

SECTION B

5. You find yourself in a midst of a debate between a Moslem and a Christian over the identity of
Christ. The Moslem claims that Christ is never mentioned in Quran at all. The Christian Belief
that Quran elevates Christ than Muhammad. Settle the dispute by:
(a) Drawing clear evidence of Quranic teaching about Christ. [10 marks]
(b) Giving Biblical evidence which proof Christ as the Messiah. [12marks]

6. “1 Samuel chapter 18 is clear evidence that God supports the consultation of Ancestors as taught
in African Traditional Religions.” Concluded a lecturer of religion.
(a) Explain the concept of ancestors in African Traditional Religions. [10 marks]
(b) Discuss the meaning of the text as it relates to consultation of the dead [12marks]
