1. Explain the term ‘Education’ showing how it is an ‘end’ in itself and also the ‘means’ to the

2. Give in detail a broad definition of the term ‘curriculum’. (1 Mk)
3. What is the relationship between ‘curriculum’ and ‘education’? (1 Mk)
4. Explain with reasons and use of examples in what ways curriculum is influenced by the
society (3 Mks)
5. Describe at least four components of curriculum context. (4 Mks)
6. Differentiate between the following terms (4 Mks)

ii) Informal education
7. Identify and explain five basic components of a well planned curriculum (5 Mks)
8. Identify and briefly discuss four factors that affect curriculum development (4 Mks)
