Question 1
Rabbit production is one of the emerging livestock enterprises in Kenya. What are the main features of the main types of rabbit production systems? [6 marks]
Question 2
Name and give the characteristics of three breeds of rabbits which can be used to improve rabbit herds for meat production. [9 marks]
Question 3
Discuss briefly the factors to be observed when siting a rabbitry. [6 marks]
Question 4
(a) State and describe any three (3) management practices that are carried out on weaned kits. [6 marks]
(b) State why it is important to construct a good rabbit hutch. [3 marks]

Question 5
You have been invited to a farmer’s field day as an expert on rabbit production. Elaborate the main points you would talk about on the role, potential and challenges of rabbit production as a livestock enterprise. [20 marks]
