QUESTION ONE (COMPULSORY) 30 MARKS.
a) Groups are always faced with problems needing a solution. Although no two
groups reach their decision in the same way, the stages of decision making appear
consistently in many groups. Clearly examine these stages. (10 marks).
b) Group-think renders groups inefficient and unproductive. Clearly examine the
symptoms of group-think in an organization. (8 marks).
c) Explain the TWO dimensions of social influence in a group. (4 marks).
d) Various theories have been forwarded to explain collective behavior. Clearly,
discuss these theories. (8 marks).

QUESTION TWO.
a) Socialization follows accumulative predictable sequence. With the use of relevant
examples, explain the socialization and maintenance stages. (10 marks).
b) Role transition is an important factor in any group. Individuals exhibit different
behavior in and out of the group. Explain the roles exhibited by individuals in
groups. (6 marks).
c) Explain the measurements used in the study of Group Dynamics. (4 marks).

a) Examine the JOHARI Window as an aid to help group members gain self
understanding and improve their interpersonal skills within a group set-up.

b) Discuss some of the main stressors that encroach on group territories and interfere
with the outcome of social interactions. (6 marks).
c) Explain what is meant by social loafing and it causes. (4 marks).
