IV) Allergies

2. I) What are the significance of incorporating Health Education in schools’ curriculum?
(5 mks)
II) Assume that you have just been posted to a school where Physical Education is given
little or no attention. As head of the department, briefly outline the essentials of Physical
Education. (3 mks)
3. According to the Ministry of Health; excessive alcohol intake is harmful to ones behaviour.
Identify any EIGHT harmful effects of excessive alcohol. (4 mks)
4. Identify and explain any THREE exercises of each to include in a training programme under
the following;

Ø SPORTS SPECIFIC FITNESS (6 mks)
5. Describe any SEVEN basic dietary guidelines for better health Principles. (7 mks)
PART B – (40 MARKS)
6. Indentify and explain any FIVE physiological benefits derived from participating in physical
activities/sports. (10 mks)
7. (i) State and explain any TWO components to include in a training programme. (4 mks)
(ii) Outline and discuss any THREE guiding principles to follow when prescribing training
programmes for learners. (6 mks)
8. Discuss how physical activities and sports minimize mental and emotional problems. (10 mks)
9. Health comprise of six interacting, dynamic dimensions that aid in recognizing what it is
about health that may or may not help in progressing through developmental tasks. Briefly
outline and explain any FIVE of these dimensions. (10 mks)
10. Discuss risk factors of heart diseases under those that can be controlled and those that can not.
