1. Two of the objectives of teaching Biology are;
Develop positive attitude and interest towards Biology and the relevant practical skills.
Create awareness of the value of cooperation in solving problems.
a) Briefly expound on the measuring of each of the two objectives.
b) Assuming that you are the Biology teacher in a school endowed with all
the Biology teaching facilities. How would you ensure that the two
objectives are effectively achieved?

2. How would you justify the following methods as the best ones for teaching Biology?
a) Demonstration
b) Discussion
c) Practical

3. Assume that you are a form IV Biology teacher and one of the topics you are to teach is,
“locomotion in a finned fish”. You have taught the topic in the class and you realize that the
lesson requires a re-enforcement with a field trip to a fish farm which is 50 KM away from
the school.
Explain carefully how you would ensure that the field trip is successful and effective
(15 mks)

4. Discuss the various facilities that can be used to ensure that teaching and learning
of Biology achieves its objectives.
(13mks)

5. You have been requested to participate in a Biology essay competition on “Safety in a
Biology Laboratory”.
Write an essay on the topic which you consider will enable you win the competition.
(20mks)

6. Explain how you can use the Project Method as an assessment tool in a Biology instructional
process.
(10mks)
