1. a) Distinguish between the following;
i) 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians.
ii) 1 Timothy and 2 Timothy
iii) 1 Peter and 2 Peter
iv) Justification and Sanctification
v) Preterist and Futurist (10 Marks)
b) The message that cuts across the New Testament is that Salvation brings about
transformation, that is orthodoxy determines orthopraxy. State and explain any TEN
areas of transformation that must be evidenced in a Christian life. (20 Marks)
2. a) What justifications or evidence are there to show that the Gospels were directed to a
particular target audience? (8 Marks)
b) (i) What prompted the apostle Paul to write each of his Prison and Pastoral epistles of
the New Testament? (7 Marks)
(ii) State and explain the practical lessons you can draw from the themes of the historical
books of the New Testament. (5 Marks)
3. a) The Corinthian Church is an example of a church that was called out of a pagan society
but refused to be completely transformed by the cross of Christ. State the problems and
the solutions that Paul gave to each. (9 Marks)
b) Explain the evidences that show that Jesus rose from the dead. (11 Marks)
4. a) Upon graduation each of you will either employed be employed by corporate institutions
or create employment for yourselves. What character traits drawn from the pastoral epistles
will you embrace that will enhance your credibility and effectiveness as a servant. (10 Marks)
b) What prompted the early church to collect the New Testament books before the process of
Canonicity began? (4 Marks)
c) The general Epistles are placed at the end of the New Testament because they were debated
for over 350 years before each was accepted into the Canon which books were debated
