1. (i) Define an organization and identify its salient features (5 marks)
(ii) Discuss Frederique Taylor as one of the major contributors of classical theory
(6 marks)
(iii) Henry Fayol formulated some principles which are useful even in the modern
management. Discuss unit of command and order as two of the fourteen principles
that he formulated (4 marks)
(iv) Discuss cognitive approach as a determinant factor for human behavior. (4 marks)
(v) Identify various styles of leadership commonly found among leaders (6 marks)
(vi) Define attitudes and identify various factors that influence attitude (5 marks)
2. (i) Discuss in detail complexity as one of the components of organizational structure.

associated with each of them (12 marks)

4. (a) With full support to your argument, explain why everybody who is aspiring to become
a manager should study Human behavior. (12 marks)
(b) The success of a manager depends on his effectiveness in communication. Comment on
