1. Briefly describe the following;

c. The four-fold promise of God to the patriarchs (2 Mks)
d. The significance of the virgin birth (2 Mks)
e. The significance of Jesus’ baptism (2 Mks)
2. Attempts have been made to try explaining the origin of the universe.
a. Briefly explain the Evolution theories. (5 Mks)
b. Identify at least 4 weaknesses of the Evolution theory discussed. (8 Mks)
c. Briefly discuss the creation story in Genesis showing reasons how it answers this
question of the origin of the universe (7 Mks)
3. Jesus came to set up the Kingdom of God and not a religion.
a. Define the term ‘Kingdom of God’ (2 Mks)
b. What is the relationship between the Church and the Kingdom of God? (8 Mks)
c. Explain the mystery of the Kingdom of God (3 Mks)
d. Jesus’ perception of the Kingdom of God included the gentiles. Provide 7 reasons to
prove this fact? (7 Mks)
4. God throughout history has appointed various peoples as his channels to reconcile the
world to himself.
a. Compare and contrast the redemptive role of the nation of Israel with that of the
Church. (12 Mks)
b. Explain with reasons to show why the mission of the Church stands above that of the Jews
in the Old Testament. (8 Mks)
5. Chronologically discuss, clearly showing key personalities involved and quoting relevant verses
where possible, 5 main events that are yet to happen in the culmination of salvation. (20 Mks)
