a) Explain the major tenets of labour laws (10marks)
b) Labour laws are generally used to awaken the workers’ rights and protection provided for by the employment Act. Briefly elaborate the components of the employment Act (10marks) c) Discuss the various types of striker (10marks)
Question 2
a) A supervisor has sacked a worker without notice accusing him of being lazy and tardiness. The worker has taken the company to court. Advice the management if the supervisor was justified. (10marks)
b) A worker on his way from the work premise got a head injury out of bumping on the pole that had extended from the fence of the company building. He decided to sue the company. Advice the company if the worker is entitled for compensation from the company. (10marks)

a) As a human resource manager of Topline Communication, you have been asked by the management to advice on the major components explained in the employment Act and how it affects the workers relation with the organization (10marks)
b) Explain the remedial powers of the industrial court in cases of wrongful dismissal of an employee (10marks)

a) As a labour law expert and industrial relations guru, explain to the workers who want to form a trade union what is required in terms of roles and duties of officials, conditions for formation and registration activities of running the trade union (10marks)

a) In case of a dispute in the organization, what are the machinery that would be adequate for settling of the disputes (10marks)
b) The workers of Bedline Ltd have gone on strike without notice. Advice the management on the regulation and consequences of illegal strike showing when a strike is justified or unjustified (10marks)
