Your local church and one of the reputable NGO are partnering together to implement a program that will addresses the high rate of drug abuse by secondary and college youth in your community. In order to understand better some of the key issues facing the youth, they have requested you to carry out a research to establish the main driving force and the possible solutions to this rampant and worrying problem.
a) Define the term research and research methodology. (5marks)
b) What are the various types of research design that would be appropriate for this study?(5marks)
c) Identify the total and the target population for this study. (5marks)
d) What sampling method and technique would you use to select a sample and why? (10marks)
(e) Distinguish between descriptive and inferential data analysis. (5 marks)

There are three major criteria for evaluating a measurement tool. Describe the three major criteria using examples to show how researchers determine that the tool is actually measuring what they intended to measure. (20marks)
