a) Discuss the three basic types of production/transformation processes highlighting their characteristics. (15marks)

b) Why is it important to plan for facility location? (10marks)

Product development and production of new products is a necessary step that must be undertaken by all production managers.

a) Discuss the various reasons as to shy new products are developed. (10marks)

b) briefly discuss the stages that are undertaken for new product development up to the point of entering the market. (15marks)
