Question 1
a) In any consulting process, there is the phase of problem diagnosis. Explain what you understand by the term problem diagnosis. (5marks)

b) For a consultant to be efficient, he requires to develop some technical skills. Discuss five such skills that he needs to develop. (10marks)

c) A consultant needs to build a collaborative relationship with the client. Discuss five reasons why it is important to build this relationship. (10marks)

The management of any organization is usually faced with many problems and challenges. Discuss five such areas which would attract the attention of the consultant.

A client is very important to a consultant in any consulting process. In your own words, explain five areas that you, as a consultant would check in order to promote good client-consultant relationship. (15marks)

A friend who is running a Small Enterprise has approached you for advice as an SME consultant because her business is not doing well as per her expectations. In your discussion, indicate by way of the 7m’s checklist routine which she could use to pinpoint potential problem areas. (15marks)
