SECTION A (Q1, 2 and 3)
Question One
Differentiate an arbitrary zero point from an absolute zero point. Give an example of each.

Giving distinguishing characteristics, discuss the levels of measurement used in education measurement.

Explain briefly the characteristics of any good measurement in education.

What are the uses of evaluation in education?

Question Three
A good essay test must be conscientiously prepared taking into consideration both its construction and grading. Discuss any five points you would consider when constructing the test and five points you would consider when grading the test. (20 Marks)

Differentiate a raw score from a derived score. Give an example of each.

Distinguish between standardized and non-standardized tests. Give an example of each.

Explain why raw scores have to be converted to standardized and normalized scores.

The following are tests scores obtained by students in Tests and Measurement course: 40, 43, 56, 48, 82, 66, 74, 55, 78 and 56.
What is the mode of the distribution?

Using evidence from the above data, show at least two properties of mean.

Find the percentile rank for the scores 43, 55 and 82 in the above distribution.
