1.A pole vaulter is running with his pole horizontal.Its length is 4.2m and its mass is 5kg.It is held at points 0.4m and 1.1m from the end.Assuming the pole to be of uniform material,find the vertical force exerted by each of his hands.
2.Find the position of the centre of gravity of a non-uniform plank AB of length 250cm,if it is held horizontally by vertical strings 60cm from each end,the tensions in the strings being 120N(Near A) and 75N(Near B)
3.A non-uniform ladder AB of length 6m lies on the ground A vertical force of 150N applied at A will just lift the end A off the ground.A vertical force of 250N applied at B will just lift end B off the ground.Find the weight of the ladder and the position of the centre of gravity
