SECTION A:
1. Explain the main features of organised religions as they evolved from the invention of Agriculture to the modern period. (15marks).
2. Highlight and explain the religious significance of taboos among the Eskimos (15marks).
3. Write notes on the following common features among the Aborigines of Australia. 15 marks
a. belief in totemism
b. belief in the role of the medicine-man
c. belief in supernatural beings
4. Highlight and explain the main elements of an African Religion. 15 marks
SECTION B:
5. Explain the following features in Hinduism. (15marks).
- The Vedic Deities
- Caste system in the religious Dogma
- Salvation by devolution.
6. Briefly explain the fundamental teachings and doctrines of Buddhism (15marks).
7. With examples from the life of mahavira, explain how he lived a life of asceticism and austerity to gain Liberation. ( 15marks)
8. Explain the features that distinguishes Taoism as a religion. (15marks).
