1. Broadly define the concept of urbanization and describe the pre-conditions for urbanization according to Gordon Childe.

2. With reference to the problems of slums, urban agriculture and street children, discuss the contention that ''urban planning is still a major challenge to urbanization process in Kenya''.

3. Using the case of Eldoret town, discuss the statement that "urban growth is not necessarily urbanization". Be sure to indicate evidence of both urbanization and urban growth in the said town.
