a) Define the following terms;
i) Personality (2 marks)
ii) Temperament (2 marks)
iii) Heredity (2 marks)
iv) Psychosocial competence (2 marks)
b) Compare and contrast Sigmund Freud’s Psychoanalytic and Erickson’s Psychosocial theories of personality development. (12 marks)

Question 2
a) Describe four factors that are critical in influencing personality development in human beings. (12 marks)
b) Relate the interaction between heredity and environmental factors in personality development. (8 marks)

Question 3
‘’ It is important for caregivers to have awareness of various types of personalities and temperaments of children in order to enhance their harmonious living in society’’. Discuss. (20 marks)

Question 4
a) Discuss the necessity of life skills in children and their role in how child lives with oneself and others. (12 marks)
b) Describe four methods that can be used to enhance the acquisition of life skills in children. (8 marks)

Question 5
‘’ In order to relate with others in society, children need to have values that give them an understanding of what is right and wrong and also important in life”. Discuss (20 marks)
