b. State two reasons why evaluation of a Logistics Information System project would be beneficial to an organization. (2 marks)
c. Explain four ways information can be helpful in logistics and supply chain management. (8 marks)
d. Name four sources where data for a logistics management information system can come from.

e. List five examples of Information Technologies used in various logistics areas. (5marks)
f. Identify three general functional areas of ICT usage in logistics. (3 marks)
g. Discuss the importance of timely and accurate information to logistics information system. Give appropriate examples. (5 marks)

b. Explain why System Development Life Cycle (SDLC or Waterfall Model) would be suitable methodology to use in developing a Logistics Information System for an organization. (10marks)

a. A fully constructed and effective logistics information system contributes essentially to an
organization’s competitive advantage. Discuss. (6 marks)
b. Logistics is the collection of activities associated with acquiring, moving, storing and delivering supply chain commodities (products) in all stages of manufacture, service and information. Evaluate the effectiveness of Logistics Information System in facilitating these activities in the recently concluded general election in Kenya conducted by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.
