1.Some critics argue that African Literature is too limited to dealing with changing situation in Africa. By referring to two texts studied in this course, argue for or against this statement. (26Marks)
2. a) EVALUATE Chimamanda Adichie's portrayal of the inhumanity of war in "Half of a Yellow Sun" (22Marks)

b) How Chimamanda Adiche's "Americanah" deals with some of the critical issues in the post-independence African experience. Identify any two such issues and discuss how effectively they are dealt with. (22Marks)

3. Ferdinand Onyono's "The House Boy" is a critique of colonialist ideology in Africa.Discuss?
4. Sometimes it is tempting to regard African women's writing as purely a literature of complaints and dissatisfaction. Referring to any short stories you have studied in this course, respond to this statement.
