SECTION A (30 marks). Attempt ALL the questions.
1. A medicinal chemist synthesized a compound which, on evaluation was found to have properties of a drug-like molecule. Briefly discuss these properties (10 marks)
2. PURECAL is a calcium supplement given to patients in calcium - deficiency states. Discuss how to determine calcium content of tablets of this product by complex metric titration (10 marks)
3. Discuss how the state of ionization of a drug may affect its pharmacological action (10 marks).
