1. During the term we looked at three philosophical positions or viewpoints that
govern broad principles of education. List and discuss the viewpoints and
show the weaknesses and strengths of their arguments.
2. Music as a discipline involves three traditional domains of learning. Discuss
these domains and show how music educators interact with them in their
teaching activities.
3. In order to understand better the training of a professional, one needs to
know what distinguishes a profession from being a routine job that merely
requires a skill." Discuss some factors associated with Teacher Education and
Future Directions.
4. People's views on the importance of curriculum and the subject matter
content vary according to their philosophical and educational beliefs. Show
how the statement applies with regard to definitions and implications of
curriculum.
5. What are some of the reasons that teachers should know something about the
following;

(b) Interrelationships Among the Arts
(c) Music Education for the Handicapped
(d) Music in Early Childhood Education
6. As a practicing music educator it is important to keep current with Research
and Music Education as it is a key to progress in music education. Discuss the
main factors associated with this perception.
