ii. Viewers today should not be allowed to remain passive but must be made to interact with the programme they are watching. What methods would you employ to make viewing an interactive and enjoyable experience for your viewer? Give examples (7 marks)

3. i. You have been assigned to produce a documentary on the first president of Kenya. In the course of research you discover that portions of the relevant and necessary footage that you need in order for your story to be complete cannot be accessed anywhere in the world. Clearly demonstrate what production technique you will want to employ in order to surmount this problem? Give examples (7 marks)
ii. Develop a two-column shooting script (video and sound) of the dramatized part of the documentary (8 marks)

4. Story treatment is a concept that is applied to drama scripts but is equally beneficial to documentary scripts. Identify and explain the stages of story treatment and how you can apply each one of them to a documentary script (15 marks)

5. i. Discuss the role of research in documentary script writing, and briefly explain what you would lose out if you did not carry out effective research before scripting (8 marks)
ii. Which are some of a script writer's research sources? (7 marks)

6. The various schools of film making present us with an opportunity to not only learn our roots as filmmakers but to also understand why we adopt particular techniques of production. Discuss at least three schools of filmmaking, outlining the genesis of their thoughts and what contribution they made to the film industry (15 marks)
