Q1. One of the cardinal rules in the maxim, “Actus non facit reum rusi Meos sit rea” is causation. With the support of cases analyze the importance and application of the rule. (30 marks)
Q2. Recklessness being the taking of an unjuctied nic, discuss the difference between Cunninghom recklessness and Celdwell recklessness. (20 marks)
Q3. Strict liability and vicarious liability are well grounded principles in Criminal law unlike strict liability vicarious liability needs mens rea. While distinguishing the legal rules applicable to the two concepts in criminal law, what are the advantages and disadvantages in respect of both of them. (20 marks)
Q4. A mistake as a defence can be both of fact or law. Discuss the various circumstances under which a mistake can be a defence. (20 marks)
