2. An empty carton weighs 1 kg. Ten packets of soap powder, each weighing 500 g are packed in one carton. What is the weight of fifty such cartons full of soap?

3. In a factory, every 7 kg of coffee berries when processed, produce 1 kg of clean coffee beans. Leitish ended up with 2,100 kg of clean coffee beans. How many kilos of coffee berries had he rent for processing?

4. Salt weighing 3 tonnes was packed into 250 g packets. How many packets were there?

5. A lorry carried 50 cartons of books and 200 cartons of milk. Each carton of books weighed 40 kg and each carton of milk weighed 5 kg. What was the total weight in tonnes of the books and milk?

6. A factory packs milk in sachets which are later packed in cartons. Each carton holds 60 sachets. The factory packed 100 such cartons. Milk in 8 cartons was destroyed. The remaining milk was shared equally among four dealers. How many sachets did each dealer get?

7. A certain powder is packed in 1,250 g packets. How many such packets will weigh 1 tonne?

8. Five hundred kilograms of tea were packed in 500 g packets. How many packets were obtained?

9. A lorry weighs 3.6 tonnes when empty. It weighed 6.3 tonnes when loaded with 90 kg bags of wheat. How many bags of wheat were loaded?

10. A pickup is loaded with 120 cartons each containing 20 packets of tea leaves. Each empty carton weighs 400g and each packet of tea leaves weighs 500g. What is the total load in kgs?

11. In a factory 1 kg of clean coffee beans is obtained after processing 7 kg of coffee berries. In one year Wambugu sent 36.4 tonnes of coffee berries for processing. How many kilograms of clean beans were obtained?

12. A lorry was loaded with 3 tonnes of tea leaves which was packed in 100g, 250g and 500 g packets. The number of 100 g packets was 10,000 while the number of 250 g packets were 5,000. What was the number of 500g packets?
