Answer THREE questions. At lease ONE from each Section.
SECTION I

Examine the various stages that demonstrate how the Muslim community came to posses an authentic copy of the Qur?an.
2.
Identify and discuss the various styles used in the Qur?an
3.
Citing relevant verses, show the importance of Asbab al-Nuzul in understanding the text of Quaran.

SECTION II
4.
Show how the ahadith were taught and transmitted during the early period of Islam up to the time of the Successors of the Companions of the Prophet.
5.
Examine the grading of scholars of ahadith and demonstrate its impact on Hadith classification.
6.
Highlight the contribution of any three of the following scholars in the development of Hadith Literature:

Imam Muslim

Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal
d)
Imam Malk bin Anas.
