SECTION A
1.Give a comprehensive understanding of what the Old Testament is.
2.Why would one study the old testament today?What sources would one use in the study of the Old Testament.
3.Examine the following aspects of the Hebrew Bible:
a).the Torah.
b).the Nevi'im.
c).the Ketuvim.
d).The Historical books.
4.With concrete illustrations,analyze issues of concern to a scholar of the Pentateuch in reference to archaeology of the Ancient Near East.
SECTION B
5.Evaluate the contribution that the Old Testament has made to the understanding of God.
6.The Prophets were the greatest men in the Old Testament.Discuss.
7."The wisdom authors sought to instruct and edify,not to act as professional historians."With relevant examples show how wisdom literature can be used to instruct and edify.
8.With reference to the various themes in the Historical books,explain the importance of the Old Testament to contemporary African society.
