SECTION A:

1. critically examine the contribution of African states in the development of international law.

2. using examples discuss the complementarity between municipal law and international law in Africa.

3. Discuss the significance of any of the following terms with, respect to the understanding of international law.

SECTION B:

4. Using specific cases discuss the challenges facing the international court of justice (ICJ) in resolving inter-state conflicts in Africa.

5. critically examine the performance of international legal instruments in combating piracy off the East African Coast, since collapse of the Somali State.

6. "The African Union is a poor implementer of International Law". Discuss this contention with respect to the statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC), in addressing crimes against humanity.

7. Using examples account for the controversy arising from issues of state recognition in Africa.

8. "Refugees are emerging security threat in many African states". Critically explore possible solutions to this challenge within the context of international Law.
