a. By the use of concrete examples, define social ethics and the reasons why it is relevant in our contemporary society
OR
b. In recent times there have been massive tragedies in our country for example the Sinai fire incident. Discuss with illustrations how you would use the deontological and teleological perspectives to formulate a policy to avert such tragedies.
2. EITHER
a. Identify and illustrate the causes, effects and remedies of drug and substance abuse, indicating whether there is any connection between drugs and human sexuality especially in a university context.
OR
b. What are the causes, effects and interventions against child abuse in our country?

a. Define medical ethics and briefly discuss its prima facie principles.
b. Choose one of the following medical ethics issues and discuss its causes, effects and remedies with reference to the youths in Kenya.
i. Abortion
ii. Euthanasia
iii. Genetic engineering
iv. Family planning

a. With reference to the new constitutional dispensation in Kenya, explicate on the rights and duties of the citizens and state, indicating the challenges involved in attaining the same and how they can be overcome.

b. The effects of climate change are being experienced in most parts of our country. Discuss the measures for environmental management and show how they can be implemented effectively in our country.

a. Poverty in most African countries can be explained in terms of unjust international economic order and poor leadership. Discuss comprehensively.

a. In 2007/2008 Kenya experienced post-election violence. Show the steps that have been taken by the government to avoid the occuremad of such incidences. in your opinion, what would be the contribution of social ethics in conflict management?

7. Personal ethics assists people in making their day-to-day choices in life. Analyze this statement and show its relevance to the youth in relation to any ONE of the following issues:
i. Pre and Extra-marital sex
ii. Homosexuality
iii. Prostitution
8. "It cannot be denied that the public service in most African countries is not doing very well in service delivery. Using relevant examples, analyze this statement with reference to work ethics.
