a) Define the term “Office” and explain the importance of the Office (provide 5 of
them).
b) Discuss the four (4) elements of Office Management.
c) Write brief notes on the handling of incoming mail.


QUESTION TWO – (20 marks)
The management of records is important in any business. What are the purposes of
maintaining the records in an organization? Discuss at least 5 reasons.


QUESTION THREE – (20 marks)
a) Explain the factors influencing the choice of office machines.
b) Explain the eight (8) basic principles when selecting furniture for a business
concern.


QUESTION FOUR
(a) An Office Manager plays an important role in any organization. Discuss five
qualities that you would like him to possess. [10 marks]
(b) Briefly discuss five factors you would consider if you were given the duty of
deciding an office layout. [10 marks]
