1. Outline the preconditions for stating a PHC programme in any community?
Once you have started a PHC programme, you will need a community health
committee. State some to the roles this committee will play in the implementation
of PHC programme. (20 amrks)

2. Primary Health care was introduced soon after the Alma Ata declaration in 1978.
In your opinion, what achievements have Kenya made on the resolutions passed
by the Alma Ata declaration to date? (30 marks)

3. Discuss selective approaches to Primary Health Care with regard to:
a) Malaria treatment control. (15 marks)

b) Tuberculoses treatment and control. (15 marks)

provision of essential drugs. What are essential drugs as proposed by WHO. How
has Kenya modified this list and how is the programme working? (30 marks)
