1. a) Define computer and give a brief explanation on the use of computer technology in Education. (5 marks)

b) Briefly explain how to assess the use of computer in the classroom. (5 marks)

c) Describe computer based lessons highlighting the prerequisites for using computers in the classroom as well as monitoring student work. (6 marks)

d) Describe the Internet as a resource for teacher considering lesson plan automation process. (4 marks)

e) Elucidate the application of computer systems in the management of your local school. (4 marks)

f) Briefly explain E-learning and E-commerce and how they are relevant in Education system. (6 marks)

2. (a) The educator is responsible for why, when and how his/her students
are using the computers.Explain the above statement. (3 marks)

(b) Teachers specify learning objectives and plan their lessons based on student?s ability levels and background available materials and tools and allotted time and finally monitor progress. You are required to provide planning, management and assessment strategies for using computer in the classroom for your school. (7 marks)

3. a) „The Internet offers a lot of resources and opportunities for instruction.
Like other instructional resources, Internet resources and materials must
be evaluated to determine their instructional value, purpose, accuracy and validity?. Explain the above statement. (3 marks)

b) Bring out the ideas and activities for teachers? use of the internet as
well as their students. Also, provide evaluation criteria to determine
high quality and value. (7 marks)

4. a) Briefly explain the technology standards for teachers and students. (2 marks)

b) Educators continually plan, manage and assess instruction. This is
also done when integrating computer technology into the classroom.
Design a model which can assist new and practicing teachers in
implementing computer technology into their curriculum. (8 marks)

5.a) Most teachers do not know how technology can benefit them and their students. This has caused unwillingness or fear to explore new instructional tools while traditional tools are no longer preparing students for challenges of the modern world. Explain the above statement. (3 marks)

b) Provide necessary and sufficient information on computer technology as a tool for helping educators achieve and assess desired learner outcomes and that the learner outcomes drive the technology and not vice versa. (7 marks)

6. The Phrases “Knowledge is Power” and “Content is King” are often used in
reference to businesses conducted on the Internet. In the history of e-business,
e-commerce and e-learning, events have demonstrated that successful e-business
of any kind are those that recognize the needs of their target audiences and match
them with relevant content.Bring out an e-business model in relation to education, training and technology.(10 marks)
