1. Discuss the view that in Africa today movement of people from country side to town is absolutely natural and absolutely essential; it is a very right and proper economic activity.
2. In Africa most governments have adopted the policy of rapid industrial development with a view to creating a modern national image.
Discuss this statement and show the role of education in the implementation of this policy with special reference to rural areas.
3. (a) Discuss the concept of adult education and lifelong learning.
(b) Identify and elaborate on initial tasks to be taken if adult education is to contribute to the development of rural areas in your country.
4. Discuss the place of the formal school system in the development of rural areas in Africa.
Illustrate your answer with specific examples.
5. Discuss the relationship between investment in human resource and the development of rural areas in your country.
6. Examine ways in which education may contribute to diversification of rural products and productivity in Africa.
