1. (a) Define the term Christian Ethics and contrast it with Human Ethics. (3 Marks)
(b) Why is it necessary for any Christian worker to study Christian Ethics? (6 Marks)
(c) How can the “good” be recognized by a Christian? (3 Marks)
(d) In what sense is Christian Ethics basically theology? (3 Marks)
(e) “Christian Ethics is Deontological Ethics and Not teleological Ethics.” Using
practical examples, respond to this statement from a Christian Ethics perspective
(10 Marks)

2. Critique from a Christian Ethics perspective the following views of what is morally
right or good;
(a) Might is Right (3 Marks)
(b) Man is the measure of what is right (3 Marks)
(c) Right is moderation (3 Marks)
(d) Right is what brings pleasure (3 Marks)
(e) Right is what God wills (3 Marks)

3. Discuss briefly at least five distinguishing characteristics of Christian Ethics.

4. Discuss from a Christian Ethics point of view four biblical incidences which
indicate that Jesus faced real moral conflicts but never sinned. (15 Marks)

5. Discuss a biblicaly sound position on any ONE of the following Ethical issues;
a) Marriage and Divorce (5 Marks)
b) Abortion
c) Euthanasia
d) War
e) Capital Punishment
f) Civil disobedience. (15 Marks

6. a) Brielfy state what each of the following Ethical systems affirm:
i) Unqualified absolutism (3 Marks)
ii) Conflicting absolutism (3 Marks)
iii) Graded absolutism (3 Marks)
b) In your opinion which Ethical system is more biblical than the rest? Give reasons
to support your answer. (6 Marks)

7. a) Discuss briefly three movements that influenced antinomianism. (6 Marks)
